The boom of wireless technology has made home automation not only affordable, but easy to use, program, install and maintain. You no longer need hundreds of miles of wiring and $150 per hour service calls to keep a system running. Carmichael audio and video has a policy of never looking back, so all systems we install are completely wireless. Simply replacing your light switches with wireless ones or plugging a lamp into a wireless module is all it takes to start automating your home. Install a wireless thermostat, surveillance camera, door lock, and motion detector and your home can be automated and secured with little to no wiring. How about a wireless power strip you can program to turn off all of your a/v equipment or computer accessories after you leave the room or after you leave the house.

Remote Control Hero!

A custom remote control is often an overlooked part of many home theater and entertainment systems. Just as important as the remote itself is making sure it is programmed correctly. Carefully crafting easy to use and understand remote controls is a particular passion of ours. Making sure all of the components are properly setup and connected and then making sure all the right buttons are all in the right place is crucial to making sure your system is both easy to use, but also takes advantage of all of the technology you paid for.

For simple systems, no other remote is easier to use and learn than a Logitech Harmony. Pressing 'Watch TV' is all it takes to turn on all of our equipment and get it to the right settings. This allows you to easily use all of your equipment, even a surround sound system, all with the press of a single button!
